Operation details：
1. Search and download “YI LO T” In App store
2. Choose a country, Sign up and log in
3. Turn on your camera and select the “+” icon in the YI LO T APP to add your camera
4. Select WIFI connection, the machine will sound a beep after a few seconds, click “I hear the beeps”
5. Select the WIFI network and enter the password（5GHz wireless band is not supported, Please turn on the location of phone）
6. QR code facing the camera, The QR code that appears on the mobile phone is scanned against the camera
lens, and the device emits a prompt sound “QR code scan successful” and “WiFi
connected”, click Next, and wait for the network configuration to be completed.
If the camera can successfully connect to Wi-Fi, the app will display the next page（Please wait for the camera to make a beep before pointing the QR code at the camera to scan.）
7. During device binding, wait for the voice prompt “binding successful”, and you can start using it.
8. Set the name of the device. And then the camera pairing process is completed.

The camera picture is quite good. It’s detection of humans is excellent. However, the stability of its connection to transmit the picture is poor. Continually freezes and disconnects while viewing. The controls to move it around fail or freeze intermittently as well. So if your plan is to use it to look around your property, look elsewhere. If you want a cheap cam with a good picture and will keep it stationary then this is not a terrible choice for the money.

I guess I was wrong. I thought the app was responsible for the camera’s ability to link to Alexa. It isn’t. The Yunyi app has the option to link with Alexa, Google and other third-party apps. The app linked with my Echo just fine but the camera was never found. I have tried countless numbers of these screw in cameras. The concept is absolutely perfect for my needs but none of them have worked. The camera reset button was broken on one. There was no playback on another meaning the SD card was useless. Others the apps themselves were horrible. Or the directional controls didn’t work meaning you couldn’t move the camera to look at something off to the side. Or I got crazy bad feedback once connected to Alexa. I’ve lowered my expectations way down to only needing to show me what the camera sees on my Echo Show’s screen. This one could not meet that one and only criteria so it’s back to the drawing board.

The motion tracking is a little wonky, but other than that, its not the worst security camera I own. I’m using it at my front door on the exterior. It’s a covered porch, so I’m not too worried about weather damage. It seems to keep a rather stable connection to wifi allowing you to monitor it 24/7 should you so choose. Night vision is clear, but with the built in LED lights on, night vision hasn’t been necessary. You can schedule when the LED lights turn on and off automatically. For the price I paid, I would say it’s a good value. I put a 128gb memory card in it, and it detected and formatted it with no problems. From my experience with several other similar quality cameras, I would expect 128gb to store about 3-4 weeks of video on continuous recording.
